Seagulls haiku

showery day

the rocks white

with seagulls

  1. Loved this, Maire. It evokes memories of walking along the Cliffs of Moher, stopping to get onto my belly to look over the edge to see nesting gulls so high up, yet only a few feet from me. Unforgettable.

  2. Eamon, thank you, I am glad you liked it, I have so many haiku, I am trying to sort them through the blog.

Love the Cliffs of Moher, dangerous at the edge there, you are truly on the edge of life LOL. I love getting the dart from Greystones .... when we pass under the rocks along the coastline on the way to Bray, the cormorants and gull that nest on the rocks are just magnificent to see. Maire

  3. The power of that one word, 'white' is tremendous here, Maire..wonderful image!!! XX

  4. Glad you liked this one Barbara, the rocks were covered in gulls, their colour was blinding and completely covered the rocks. M x
