I am Irish and am writing poetry since 2010. I particularly love haiku, a Japanese form of writing. A lot of my work has been published online and in print. I love to paint - mainly water-colour. I enjoy nature, flora and fauna. In 2015, I started Card Making with cross stitch and many other materials. I craft a lot now that I am retired. I love to combine art and crafts with painting and writing.

Fairymount Farm
Autumn Morning
At Fairymount Farm
Awake
to the sound of water
creak from the attic floor.
Voices croak
with cloud-filled slumber,
curtains slide
to rolling fields.
A sage green barn
amid billowing oak,
the rose cottage
shines in morning dew.
Scarlet windows
like Autumn berries,
the haw, the spindle
in fairy hedgerows.
Virginia creeper
hugs my window,
claret leaves quiver
the crisp September air.
Breakfast bowls
rattle clean from the dishwasher
as morning stirs
on Fairymount farm.
